AUGUSTA, Ga. – After her eighth straight top-10 performance, University of North Georgia women’s golfer Megan Sabolwas named the Peach Belt Conference Golfer of the Week Thursday afternoon by the league office.
Sabol takes her third weekly honor of the season after finishing in second place at the UWG Women’s Invitational. The sophomore from Augusta, Georgia, shot a final-round 76 to finish with a 54-hole score of 222 (+6), matching the UNG program record. She was one stroke out of the lead after opening play with rounds of 71 and 75. Sabol has now finished in the top five in six events this season. She leads the conference with a 74.20 stroke average. The next event for North Georgia will be the PBC Championship in St. Augustine, Florida, April 13-15. |
