AUGUSTA, GA | The Peach Belt Conference released the women’s cross country All-Academic team on Wednesdayafternoon with the University of North Georgia earning a program-best nine selections. The All-Academic team is part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of PBC student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field.

Caitlin Connell, Hannah Miller, Brianna Moring, Alyssa Sale, Ellie Tanner, Kaylie Tanner, Jenna Tilton, Brittany Truitt andNoelle Welch represented UNG as recipients of the academic distinction.

North Georgia’s nine honorees was the second most behind Montevallo’s 10.

To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team’s events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.

The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams.

UNG will serve as host to the Peach Belt Conference Championship race on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the UNG Cross Country Course on the UNG Gainesville campus. The women’s race is scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. start
