(Cleveland) – A Friday morning traffic stop in White County led to the arrest of one person on drug charges.

White County Sheriff Rick Kelley said a Sheriff’s deputy stopped a silver Toyota SUV for speeding and failure to maintain lane in the area of Hulsey Rd and Helen Hwy.

The deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Upon search of the vehicle, over 5 pounds of marijuana and a small bag of cocaine were found within the vehicle.

According to Sheriff Kelley the driver, 26-year-old Chennault Camron Elijah of Decatur, was arrested and transported to the White County Jail.

Elijah is charged with Failure to Maintain Lane, Speeding, DUI, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Possession of Cocaine.
