(CLEVELAND) | The Truett McConnell baseball team will head to Montgomery, Alabama, to take part in the Montgomery Bracket of the NAIA Baseball Opening Round as announced through the NAIA Baseball Selection Show Thursday afternoon. The Montgomery Bracket will be hosted on the campus of Faulkner University.
The Bears will be making their first-ever appearance in the NAIA Tournament. TMU is one of nine schools to punch their first ticket to the postseason.
TMU will take on fourth-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) in Game One of the bracket at 12:30 p.m. EDT (11:30 a.m. local).
The other teams in the bracket are top-seeded Faulkner, second-seeded St. Thomas (Fla.) and third-seeded Huntingdon (Ind.).
