(Cleveland)-Newly and re-elected county officials were sworn into office Thursday morning at the White County Courthouse in Cleveland. Enotah Circuit Chief Judge Murphy Miller administered the oath of office to White County Probate Judge Garrison Baker. Baker who also took the oath of office as a magistrate.
Judge Baker then administered the the oath of office to other county elected officials and Magistrate Corey Hyde. Among those being sworn in was Sheriff Neal Walden, who is beginning his seventh term as sheriff.
Others taking their oaths were Coroner Ricky Barrett, Tax Commissioner Cindy Cannon, Clerk of Court Dena Adams, Chief Magistrate Joy Parks, Commissioner Terry Goodger, Board of Education District 3 member Charlie Thomas Jr., Sheriff Neal Walden, Commission Chairman Travis Turner, District 4 Commissioner Craig Bryant, Board of Education District 1 member Jon Estes, Board of Education Chair Missy Jarrard and County Surveyor Eddie Hood.
