(Cleveland)- The St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland has announced that their outreach ministry has decided to discontinue it’s Mobile Food Pantry.  The discontinuation was announced due to the poor selection, quality and amount of food coming from the North Georgia Food Bank.  Church officials said, in addition, the number of clients coming in for food has declined substantially over the past the past year or so along with they felt there are a sufficient number of other churches and the White County Food Pantry where the needy in the community can go to receive food.

The St. Paul Food Ministry is one of the original food distribution sites set up in White County.

The Catholic church outreach reminds residents that their monthly interviews with people in the community who need financial assistance with such essential items as utilities, propane, food, and prescriptions will continue.  The next interview time will be this Wednesday from 10 AM until 11:30 AM.  The church is located at 1243  Hulsey Road, just off the Helen Highway.
