Rev. Pearson Richard Pardue, age 89 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024.
Pearson was born in White County to the late Grady and Mozelle Hefner Pardue. He began his career as poultry consultant for J.D. Jewell Poultry Company, later retiring from Crystal Farms. Following his retirement, he worked for a number of years at Alexander Funeral Home. Pearson was an ordained Baptist minister serving both Woodlawn Baptist Church and Calvary’s Cross Baptist Church and was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Pearson is preceded in death by his grandson, Chris Grizzle; brothers, Vince Pardue, Alan Pardue, Hal Pardue; brothers-in-law, Wayne Rogers and Tom Lindquist.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ruthalene Rogers Pardue; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Dennis Grizzle; Thelma and Joe Holcombe; Nancy and Billy Edge; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Becky Pardue; grandchildren, Krystal and Joe Talley, Brandon Grizzle, Cory Seabolt, Cody and Kara Pardue, Nikki and Casey Crannell, Ashley and Jamie Etris, Casey and Chris Sprayberry, Will and Samantha Edge; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan Pardue, Ken and Linda Pardue, Milton and Ann Pardue; sisters and brothers-in-law, Latrell and J.P. Miles, Grace and Wayne Simmons, Louise and Doyle Wiggins, Connie Lindquist, Sue Rogers; sisters-in-law, Betty Pardue and Jean Pardue.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Donnie Wilkes, Rev. Lee Cantrell and Rev. Eddie Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
