(Cleveland)-  Habersham Electric Membership Corporation crews and contractors who are helping in the power restoration efforts in the area  made some great strides Monday.   HEMC spokeswoman Nicole Dover said as of  6:00 PM p.m. Monday approximately 1100  members remained without power, this is up some from an earlier report  due to additional trees that have fallen  Monday afternoon.  Dover advised Crews will continue to work into the night and expect to have all power restored sometime on Tuesday.

These outages are scattered throughout the six county service area. Dover said, crews have been challenged due to the amount and severity of the damage, which included several broken poles and lines torn down.

HEMC members are urged to report continued outages via phone:  (800)640-6812; or online at habershamemc.com. The outage system matches the account locations to phone numbers, so if calling from a different number, please input the one associated with your affected account.

Boil Water Notice:

Edwin Nix, Director of White County Water Authority reports that a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for customers who live in subdivisions that use a pump station. He identified those as  Logans Ridge, Springcrest, Rose Road and Highland Forest.

Nix said, the power was off at those pump stations and for safety proposes the EPD requires  a boil water advisory.   They hope to have test samples back within the next 24 hours.

White County Schools will be open on Tuesday.
