Opal Earline Bennett, age 88, of Sautee, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

Mrs. Bennett was born on October 8, 1933, in Taylor County, Georgia, to the late Vester and Lavirn McGlamry Waters.  She was a homemaker and a member of Center Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bennett; daughter, Gloria Bennett Kirkland; son-in-law, Bill Kirkland; brothers, Readice Waters, Bill Waters, and Graysdon Waters; sisters, Ollie Ree Waters Morey Gordon, and Edra Waters Burnett.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Brenda Bennett; son, Donald Bennett; grandchildren, Ben Kirkland, Christina Bennett, and Jonathan Bennett; great-grandchildren, Malik Bennett, Iniya Burnett, Jhanae Burnett, Noah Delbridge, Thomas Delbridge, Emma Delbridge, and Addaleigh Delbridge; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 12, 2021, at Center Baptist Church.  The Rev. Michael Wilkes and Ms. Barbara Head will officiate.  Interment will be on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Floral Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
