(DAHLONEGA)- Maysoon El-Shami was the lone goal scorer as the No. 22 University of North Georgia women’s soccer team shut out Lander Monday afternoon, 1-0, at the UNG Soccer Complex at Lynn Cottrell Park.
After a wayward cross went to the right side of the box in the 61st minute, Cat Watry sent a cross toward the back post where El-Shami headed it home to give UNG the 1-0 lead that they would never relinquish.
NOTES
– North Georgia outshot Lander, 12-4, including 7-0 in the first half.
– Morgan Ramby recorded another clean sheet, making two saves on the day.
