ATLANTA – Imani Arnold scored a game-high 22 points off the bench as the No. 15 University of North Georgia women’s basketball team got back on the winning track with a 76-53 win over Clark Atlanta Wednesday night.

UNG held Clark Atlanta scoreless for the first seven minutes of the contest and kept the Panthers to just five points in the first period. CAU was able to score just nine more in the second period as North Georgia held the Panthers to just 18 percent shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

Up 41-14 at the break, North Georgia continued a hot shooting performance in the second half to finish off the win. The Nighthawks shot 52 percent in the second half.

NOTES
– Arnold was 9-of-14 from the floor in 24 minutes for the Nighthawks. Julianne Sutton and Chloe Savage were the only other two UNG players in double figures, scoring 13 and 11, respectively.

– Kara Groover pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

– The Nighthawks are 7-0 in the next game after a loss in the past two seasons, winning each of those games by an average of 21.5 points per game.
