Ms. Bulah Black, age 78, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at her home comforted by her family.
Bulah was born April 6, 1945, to the late Frank and Annie “Belle” Dockery Brooks. Bulah was one of seven children: Furman, Robert, Albert, Nellie, Kenneth, and Wayne.
Bulah graduated from White County High School in 1963. After graduating high school, she got married and had three children. She was a homemaker and worked as a certified medical assistant. Bulah later became a beauty consultant with Mary Kay. She worked her way up to Sales Director and drove a Mary Kay car. Bulah also served on the Miss Chattahoochee Board and was involved with the Optimist Club.
One of Bulah’s greatest attributes was her unconditional love for her family. She was happiest when all her family was together and would often say, “I love my babies.” She gave the best hugs and was always there to listen without judgement.
Survivors include daughters, Tina Stovall (Barry Palmer) and Rhonda (Aaron) Anderson; son, Eddie Black (Sonja McGuire); grandchildren, Marci (Chris) Brown, Jeb Stovall, Haley (Blake) Thomas, Hanna Black, Lauren Black, Madison Black, Ella Black, Ruby Sue Anderson, Annie Mae (Joseph) Schollian, Cara Ann (Sergey) Barrs, and Benjamin McGuire; great-grandchildren, Arlo Brown and Finn Brown; brothers, Kenneth Brooks and Wayne Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, March 7, 2024, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12-2 P.M., prior to the service. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
Bulah wanted to be celebrated. Florals and bright spring attire are encouraged.
