Mr. Loudie Timothy Pruitt, age 71, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on October 27, 1952, to the late Theodore and Lola Martin Pruitt. Timmy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing every moment spent fishing, playing his guitar, and tinkering away in his garage, working on cars.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Pruitt of Dahlonega; children Sherry Weathers (Jerry) of Dawsonville, Tim Pruitt (Ashley) of Mitchell, Dywayne Pruitt of Dahlonega; brothers Tony Pruitt, Harrison Pruitt, Tommy Pruitt, Edward Callahan; sisters Patsy Padgett, Melody Smith, Shirley Weathers, Florence Berry, Lisa Pruitt, Ann Kyle; grandchildren Dalton Weathers, Brandon Weathers, Trenton Weathers, Timothy Austin Pruitt, Jason Pruitt, Brandon Pruitt, Blakely Pruitt, Riley Pruitt, Waylon Pruitt; great-grandchildren Dixie Brady, Piper Weathers, and Braelyn Weathers.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Merrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home or to Lawanna Weathers, 112 Cherokee Street, Canton, Georgia 30114, to help with the cost of final expenses.
