FLORENCE, S.C. – In the Peach Belt quarterfinals, the University of North Georgia men’s tennis team fell to top-seeded and No. 3 Columbus State, 5-0, at Francis Marion’s Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.

Columbus State took all three doubles matches, but not without a fight from UNG. At No. 3 doubles, Ryan Gaskin and Mark Laishley battled to a 9-7 score in the final doubles match to finish.

From there, the Cougars swept through singles, winning or leading in all six matches when play was dropped after the winning point was clinched at No. 5 singles.

The Nighthawks finish play at 9-10 on the season.
