Rachael Martin- White County 4-H Agent

(Cleveland)- The White County Extension Office has added a new 4-H leader to their team.  Rachel Martin started January 4th as the new White County 4-H Agent.

The Agent title is new for White County’s 4-H leader for the past 20 years that position was called Program Assistant.

Martin participated in 4-H where she grew up in Southwest Virginia. She later moved to Georgia after college, she started in Extension as a seasonal Environmental Educator at Rock Eagle 4-H Center for about a year before obtaining a position as 4-H Educator in Chatham County, Georgia.  She worked there just over 2 years before accepting the position here. Martin is currently working on her Masters of Agricultural and Environmental Education from the University of Georgia.

White County Extension Coordinator, Nathan Eason said, “We are excited to have Rachel on board.”  He said, “Amy Crumley has been with us part-time for the better part of a year and helped carry our program during the interim. Amy will be missed, but we know Rachel will bring energy and new ideas to the program.”
