Marlena Ann Tinker Smith, age 69, of Dawsonville, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
Mrs. Smith was born on August 24, 1954, in Quonset Point, Rhode Island, to the late James and Pearl Winkles Tinker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and talented cake decorator. In addition to her parents, Marlena was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Smith; brother, Douglas Tinker.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmi and Kim Smith, Cleveland, Adam and Kimberly Smith, Dawsonville; son, Robert Smith, Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Dave Oehrlein, Waverly Hall; grandchildren, Cooper, Malena, Noah, Aubree, Hayes, Addie, Oliver, and Heather; brothers, James Tinker, Jerry Tinker, Donald Tinker, and David Tinker.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 17, 2023, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Stacy Dyer will officiate. Interment will follow in City of Apalachicola Magnolia Oaks Cemetery on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 1:11 P.M.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
