Joy Lynn Stinespring, age 70, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Mrs. Stinespring was born on June 2, 1953 in Mineral Wells, Texas to the late John Carver and Wilma McCurry Carver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Stinespring; brothers, Johnny Carver, and Randy Carver.

She had a passion for crafting and building, and her creative talents knew no bounds – she could construct anything her imagination dreamed up. Professionally, Joy was the proud owner and operator of Sunshine Cleaning, that she ran with dedication and excellence for over a decade. In addition to her cleaning business, Joy made significant contributions to the insurance industry, serving as the head of workers’ compensation for Gold Kist, as well as working with the Norton Agency, leaving a lasting impact on the community through her professionalism and dedication to her work. She proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with Banks County Fire, risking her own safety to protect and serve others in times of need.

Survivors include her daughter, Billie Stinespring, of Baldwin; son, Clint Cook, of Duluth; sisters, Toni Carver, Mary Erlich; brother, Kevin Carver; grandchildren, Aaylah, Austin, Charlee, Elaina, and Rylan.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
