(Helen)- A hiker was injured Saturday near Raven Cliffs Falls in Northern White County. Ana Newberry spokeswoman for White County Public Safety said, on Saturday, firefighters from White County Fire Services along with Helen Fire and White County EMS were dispatched to the report of a hiker that had injured himself while on the trail at Raven Cliff Falls around 7:00 PM.
Newberry said, responders located the patient about a mile up the trail. She said, the patient was ambulatory and asked that he be assisted in walking out.
A medical unit was waiting at the end of the trail and Newberry said, he was evaluated and transported to Habersham Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Newberry the rescue was completed in two hours.
