Local – The results have now been certified in the Municipal runoff election for a seat on the city commission board in the city of Helen.
A news release from Derek LaPerriere, White County Elections Interim Election Supervisor, the Unofficial and Incomplete Results were in by 7:45p and the certified Official and Complete Results shortly after 8p.
The results show there were 121 votes cast or just over 25% of the 475 registered voters. Of those 121 votes, Lee Landress received a total of 64, while Randy Summers received 57, giving Landress seven more votes than Summers.
Landress and Summers had tied for second place in the November 7th general election.
