Mr. Harold Hooper, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 5,
2022.
Mr. Hooper was born in White County to the late Grant and Fannie Dorsey
Hooper. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Fred
Hooper, Paul Hooper and Barney Hooper; sisters, Frances Dickerson, Lera Black,
Betty Parish; son-in-law, Larry Kelley; Mr. Hooper served his country in the US
Army and worked production for Ames Textile. He was a member of Mt. View
Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife, Lucille Hooper, Cleveland; daughter, Denise Kelley,
Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Billy Etris, Dahlonega;
grandchildren, Tasha Etris, Nick (Leah) Kelley, April (Arvo) Bowen, Eugene (Kay)
Etris; great-grandchildren, Blake Kelley, Bailey Kelley, Brody Kelley, Finn Kelley,
Jack Barrett, Will Barrett, and Bo Bowen; brother, Tom (Willie Mae) Hooper.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Monday, January 10, 2022, from the
Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Head, Rev. Darren Palmer, and Rev.
Rondal Garmon will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the
funeral home.
