Rev. Andy Chambers, Pastor Cleveland Presbyterian Church delivers Good Friday message.

(Cleveland)- The White County Ministerial Alliance joined hands  with Cleveland area churches for a Good Friday service, that was held at Freedom Park in downtown Cleveland.  Around 125 people turned out for the noontime event and were blessed with music provided by Christal Hicks and Stephen Martin  along with a Good Friday message by Cleveland Presbyterian Church Pastor Andy Chambers.

The Friday before Easter Sunday, on which the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ is commemorated in the Christian Church is called  Good Friday.

Chambers told the crowd because Jesus followed through with that process, “it is finished”.  “because of Jesus Christ we can all emphatically and courageously proclaim, it…is…finished and because of Jesus we can look forward with  hope to the rest of the story…for which you’ll have to show up Sunday to hear all about that, “ said Rev. Chambers

Bob Hirschi, Chairman of the White County Ministerial Alliance said this is just one of several events they want to sponsor to bring together churches in  the area.  Hirschi said the next event will  the National Day of Prayer  on May 7th, which will be held at Freedom Park.
