Frank Cain, age 87, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was born on December 24, 1936, in Dahlonega, to the late Alonzo Cain and Aroma Winkler Cain. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his seven siblings.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mae Odom Cain. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared memories. Frank was a devoted father to his children, Kim Cain Dibble (Bruce) of Dahlonega, Scott Cain of Dahlonega, and Joy (Matt) Handte of Gainesville.
In addition to his immediate family, Frank is survived by his brother, Pat (Mary Ann) Cain, and sister, Joyce Anne Cain Bragg; grandchildren Bethany Gentry, Tyler Dibble, Haley Dibble, Austin Dibble, Gracie Mae Cain, Taylor Satterfield, and Cole Handte, as well as his seven great-grandchildren. The Cain family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Frank’s special friends and caregivers, Christie Odom and Linda Haig, for their unwavering support and friendship.
A man of simple pleasures, Frank found joy in music, learning to play numerous instruments throughout his life. His gentle nature and kindness endeared him to all who knew him, but his greatest love was reserved for his family. Frank enjoyed spending time outdoors, tending to his yard and garden, finding the beauty of nature.
Graveside services to honor Frank’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Davis Chapel Cemetery. Prior to the service, friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
