(Cleveland)- Cleveland’s first stand-alone Chick-fil-A® restaurant opened Wednesday morning officially at 6:30 AM. The restaurant brings 90 new jobs, and offered 100 adults a chance to win free Chick-fil-A meals for a year and the opportunity for community members to donate books that will benefit the White County Public Library.
Those who spent the night in the parking lot began packing up their tents and sleeping bags around 5 AM and operator/Owner Chris Liberatore said the folks that camped out were awarded their meal prize at 6 AM and then the long awaited opening to the public came at 6:30 am.
The new restaurant location in Cleveland is one of two North Georgia Chick-fil-A’s opening the same day – making it a family affair with Chris’ brother, Daniel, opening a stand-alone location in Blairsville.
The Cleveland Chick-fil-A restaurant will feature the chain’s newest interior and kitchen design with an upgraded, heritage interior and can seat 114 in the dining room with an additional 26 seats outside. The restaurant includes dual drive-thru ordering lanes to expand the chain’s award-winning drive-thru service that enables motorists to place their orders at separate screens and then merge into a single lane to pay for and pick up their orders. Chick-fil-A believes in partnering with organizations that enrich education, literacy and youth. To celebrate the opening, the Cleveland restaurant is collecting new children’s books during hours of operation from Wednesday, through Friday, to benefit the White County Public Library.
The new Chick-fil-A at Cleveland is one of 93 new restaurants the chain plans to open across the country this year.
