C. Scott Davis, age 59, of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Born on July 8, 1964, in Toccoa, he was a son of the late Charles Scott Davis, Sr. and Sue Laura Montgomery Sarkinen. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Laura Montgomery.
Scott was known for his intelligence, quick wit, and the great love he had for his family and friends. He graduated from Habersham Central High School in 1982 and studied computer science at Georgia Tech. He pursued a career in programming & software engineering. Scott was a talented author, song writer/musician, and game developer. His works can be viewed at cscottdavis.com.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Logan Davis (Jessica) of Athens, Tanya Gibson (Rae) of Helena, MT, and Constance “Wren” Sims (Seth) of Honea Path, SC; grandchildren, Connor Gadd, Sam Gadd, Anderson Davis, Breanna Dodd, and Gabriella Dodd; brother and sister-in-law, Mark Davis (Mary) of Clarkesville; niece, Sunshine Davis of Cornelia; several extended relatives and friends; and dedicated friend, Joel Byers.
A time of remembrance and sharing will be held at 4 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024, in the Stateroom of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Hills Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.
