Victor Vincent Matistic, age 75 of Demorest, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Vic was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1943 to the late August and Amelia Ross Matistic. Mr. Matistic proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed cooking, snow skiing, and gardening especially growing tomatoes. He was and an avid University of Georgia football fan and player.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Matistic and Walter Matistic; sisters, Ruth, Irene, Dolores and Eleanor.
Surviving family include his dearest companion Vivian Schoonmaker of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Amy Matistic of Newnan; grandchildren, Maxwell Matistic, Benjamin Matistic and Patrick Matistic; brother, Robert Matistic of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Wayne Fowler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
