DAHLONEGA – A four-run first inning was all No. 12 USC Aiken needed as they won the series finale against the University of North Georgia baseball team, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at Bob Stein Stadium.

Conner Durden got things started for the Pacers with a two-run blast in the top of the first, followed closely by a Chandler Rogers RBI double that plated two more runs, putting USCA up, 4-0.

North Georgia got one run back in the eighth inning on a Chase Sudduth RBI single with the bases loaded, but that was all the Nighthawks could get. The Pacers added two more insurance runs in the top of the ninth to seal the win.

NOTES
