(Cleveland)- A couple of last minute qualifiers will make for an interesting Primary Election on May 22nd.  Qualifying for that election ended Friday at noon.  A previously qualified candidate for District  Four Board of Education, Barry Vandiver changed his mind and removed his name as a candidate, but two other people stepped forward Friday and made their intentions known to run for that post.  Linda Erbele and Jeannette Gearing paid their qualifying fee and registered with the Republican party for the race.

Other positions;  Carly Adam, John Solmon and the incumbent Charlie Bryson qualified for District Two Board of Education.

For County Commission District 2 the following qualified; Michael Boswell, Ricky Farmer, and Incumbent Lyn Holcomb.

District Three County Commissioner Edwin Nix was the only person qualifying for that post.

All candidates qualified with the Republican Party.  No Democratic candidates qualified.

In an effort to inform the citizens about these candidates the White County Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the White County News and Local News Radio WRWH, will hold a candidate forum on Tuesday, May 1st at 6 PM at the Roy Ash Jr. Community Building in Cleveland.  WRWH will broadcast that forum live.
