(DAHLONEGA) | University of North Georgia fans are encouraged to “Fill The Hill” and welcome the 2015 NCAA Division II Softball National Champions back to Dahlonega tonight (May 26) with a champions’ welcome. The stadium lights will be turned on at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium for the team’s estimated arrival shortly after 11:00 p.m. in Dahlonega.

The Nighthawks 31-person travel party will be on Delta Flight #2483 from Oklahoma City and is scheduled to land at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport at 9:18 p.m. tonight.

A Daniel’s Charter bus will carry the team and staff back to Dahlonega capped with a two-car blue light escort courtesy of University of North Georgia Campus Police to the celebration location.

Pending projected rainy weather in Dahlonega, the arrival celebration would be moved to UNG’s Memorial Hall. The finalized celebration venue will be set once the team has touched down in Atlanta and fans should stay tuned to all UNG Athletics’ social media accounts to confirm the location.

The celebration will include a presentation of the walnut and bronze NCAA National Championship trophy, comments from head coach Mike Davenport and the team and will conclude with photo opportunities with both the team and trophy.
