(Cleveland)- Six children were among the 10 people injured in a three-vehicle wreck on Ga. 11/U.S. 129 in southern White County Saturday.

Two of those juveniles were injured seriously enough they had to be airlifted for care, according to Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville.

The wreck happened at 12:10 p.m. on Ga. 11/U.S. 129 northbound at Joe Turner Road, said Cpl. Joshua Hedden of GSP Post 6.
A 2005 Toyota Scion X driven by Heather Morgan, 30, of Clermont was following too closely, causing it to strike a 2004 Kia Sedona van, driven by Samantha Loggins, 32, of Sauteee-Nacoochee, in the rear, Hedden said. The van was stopped in the road for a vehicle in front of it to turn left.

After impact, the second vehicle (van) struck the rear of that 2006 Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by Gary Olsen, 53 of Cleveland, Hedden said.

Four passengers in Morgan’s Scion were juveniles. One suffered serious injuries and was flown for care, with the others transported for treatment of unspecified injuries, Hedden said. Morgan suffered minor injuries and was transported for treatment.

Loggins’ two passengers were juveniles, with one being seriously injured and flown for care, Hedden said. The other was transported for treatment of unspecified injuries. Loggins suffered minor injuries and was transported.

Olsen suffered minor injuries, as did his passenger, Tamera Olsen, 55, of Cleveland, but they were not transported, Hedden said.

Charges are pending, Hedden said.
