(Atlanta)- The Georgia Department of Labor reports that the preliminary unemployment rate for White County in November was 5.8 percent that’s down 6 tenths of a percent point from the 6.4 percent revised October rate.
The labor department said in November the labor force in the county was 13,292. Of those 12,518 people were employed, while 774 were unemployed. The rate one year ago the rate was 6.6 percent.
The Georgia Mountains’ unemployment was 5.5 percent in November, down five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.0 percent in October. The rate in November of last year was also 6.0 percent.
