leveland)- Nine people have been arrested following the execution of two separate search warrants Wednesday night. Information released Thursday from the North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office advises, that On Wednesday, December 3rd, drug enforcement agents together with the White County Sheriff’s Office, the Cleveland Police Department, the Georgia Department of Corrections K9 unit, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation executed two search warrants in Cleveland.
Mitchell Posey, Special Agent in Charge with the North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office reported, Task Force Agents, searching for methamphetamine and firearms, executed search warrants at Geoffrey Bewsher’s residence at 516 Adair Mill Lane, Cleveland and Eric Elliott’s residence at 99 Three Hills Drive, Cleveland. According to Posey, agents seized approximately one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, oxycodone, marijuana, and multiple firearms.
Agents also recovered a stolen vehicle that had been disassembled for the purpose of selling its parts. The Drug Enforcement Office investigation began approximately 1 month ago based on information obtained from a separate Cleveland Police Department theft investigation.
White County Sheriff Neal Walden applauded the combined law enforcement effort to arrest people who sell narcotics and stolen property.
The following individuals were arrested:
GEOFFREY LEE BEWSHER 35 of Cleveland, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
ERIC FARRELL ELLIOTT 36 of Cleveland, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
KEVIN DEAN STEVERSON, 43 of Cleveland, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
KIMBERLY RENEA TAYLOR 27 of Gainesville, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of oxycodone.
BRADLEY CLAYTON TAYLOR 29 of Dahlonega, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of oxycodone.
CHASSIDY LYNN PRUITT 19 of Cleveland, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
WILLIAM HOWARD PRESSLEY 33 of Andrews, NC charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
NICHOLAS JAMES ORTEGA 27 of Cornelia, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
ANTHONY CHAMBERS, 28 of Sautee Nacoochee, GA charged with possession of methamphetamine and obstruction.
According to Posey, the investigation continues and additional arrests and charges are expected.
