(BRASELTON) – The Truett McConnell University women’s golf team competed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Championship, hosted by Brenau University, on Monday-Tuesday at the Chateau Elan Golf Course. The Lady Bears finished third of nine teams with a total score of 655.
 
No. 24 Milligan University claimed the AAC fall title with a team score of 636, while Tennessee Wesleyan University took runner-up with 652 total points.
 
Senior Teagan Lovingood led the way placing eighth overall of 68 individuals. Lovingood shot an 86 through the first 18, but shaved off seven strokes day two carding a 76 to finish 15 over for the tourney. Freshman Grace Lansdell followed closely by a stroke to tie for ninth. Lansdell shot an 82 on the first day, and also improved day two (78) to finish 16 over.
 
Tied for 16th was senior Kiley Blackburn, who shot an 83 and 81 (164). Freshman Madison Panter followed tied for 39th with an 82 and 92 (174), while senior Faith Reddick rounded out the Lady Bears’ results with an 86 and 90.
 
In case you missed it, the Lady Bears clinched the program’s first-ever tourney win in September. In fact, TMU has finished in the top three in all four tournaments thus far this season. Most recently, TMU got ranked No. 16 in the NAIA Golfstat rankings, which is the best ranking any TMU women’s team has ever claimed.
 
Up next, the Lady Bears will compete in the Coastal Georgia Invitational Monday, Oct. 26 – Tuesday, Oct. 27, which will conclude TMU’s fall schedule.
