(Cleveland)- In light of the school shooting this morning at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, in Winder, area schools have increased security presence on campuses.
Dr. Jonathan Stribling, Assistant Superintendent for White County Schools said Wednesday afternoon, “The White County School System is aware of the tragedy that has occurred at a high school in Barrow County. Please know that our students’ safety is our top priority.” He said, ” I have been in touch with White County Sheriff Rick Kelly and school administrators. Heightened awareness and vigilance are evident throughout the school system. Please join us in keeping all involved in our thoughts and prayers.”
Thank you for keeping our children safe , Would it be a option to install metal detectors in our schools ?
Is there anything that parents can do to help? For the ones that want to? I wish there was a way to do like a school/neighborhood watch during the school hours. Idk just thinking outside the box.
It feels like we give these people a cloak of obscurity until after they have created a mess. It feels like we should publish their names and parents names beforehand so that all eyes are watching them and raise the stakes to shape up or ship out before they make a mess.
