The latest figures released by the Georgia Department of Public Health list 347 confirmed cases of coronavirus in White County with a total of 5 deaths related to the virus.
Looking at other area counties; Hall County has 5,947 cases with 92 deaths, Habersham County 1,125 cases, and 48 deaths. Lumpkin County 327 confirmed cases with 6 deaths Union County 256 cases 7 deaths and Towns County 134 cases with one death related to the virus.
Officials remind everyone to practice social distancing, washing your hands often, and wearing a face mask when out in public in order to help slow the spread of the virus.
