The latest figures released by the Georgia Department of Public Health list 292 confirmed cases of coronavirus in White County with a total of 5 deaths related to the virus.
Looking at other area counties; Hall County has 5,372 cases with 77 deaths, Habersham County 1,011 cases, and 48 deaths. Lumpkin County 291 confirmed cases with 6 deaths Union County 197 cases 6 deaths and Towns County 107 cases with one death related to the virus.
Officials remind everyone to practice social distancing, washing your hands often, and wearing a face mask when out in public in order to help slow the spread of the virus.
We are doing better than most and that is good but I believe all numbers are elevated. One death is too much but I’m so frustrated. Here’s my story: I care for 2 people: a husband with pancreatic cancer and was getting both chemo and radiation. I care for my brother full-time who is terminal with Liver Failure. I’m in my 60’s and test positive but am not sick. Under the circumstances I ask to please be retested just to verify – they absolutely refused. We all know people have died with Coronavirus but it wasn’t Coronavirus that was honestly the cause of death. We can’t trust any information!!!
As for CHINA: The fact is, they closed down travel out of Wuhan to anywhere within their country but left travel open to the world! Small business owners are being arrested and shut down for small infractions and yet, real criminals are being released. Rioters are being released with no bail and allowed to continue rioting! There is a dirty underbelly to all of this and most of us are just totally fed up!!!
I heard on the radio that some request is being made for those who tested positive in the past volunteer to have further testing done for antibodies etc. Contact your doctor to find out about this.
292 positives = average of 48.67 per month or 1.62 per day. Deaths = .83 per month.
If we think about it, It’s somewhat Trump’s fault. He should have closed airlines to the USA. Now he’s more focused on banning a social media app than he is on COVID which is killing people.
