(Cleveland)- The White County Warriors and Yonah Composite Mountain Bike teams competed in their 3rd race of the season at Dauset Trails in Jackson, Ga. this past weekend. 

Jeff DeFoor, White County Warrior Mtn. Bike Team Head Coach said, “After a week of rain, the trails needed time to dry out, so all the races (middle and high school) were held on Sunday.  It made for a busy day, but a successful race! 

Yonah Composite had four podium finishers for the day and ended up placing 2nd in the Division II team results.

Elizabeth Himstedt took 3rd place in the 8th Grade Girls, Brianna LaRue took 4th place in JV2 Girls (Still maintaining her 1st place in the Series standings), Caitlin LaRue took 3rd place in JV1 Girls (Still maintaining her 3rd place in the Series standings) and Shannon Himstedt took 3rd place in the Varsity Boys categories.

The Yonah Composite riders who competed were Elizabeth Himstedt, Hope Hogan, Luke DeFoor, Levi Hogan, Caitlin LaRue, Brianna LaRue, Avery Himstedt, Sebastian Smidt, Gavin Atkinson, and Shannon Himstedt.

White County Warriors had one podium finisher for the day, Anna Kate DeFoor took 2nd place in the 8th Grade Girls and currently sits in 2nd place in the series standings. The White County Warriors riders who competed were Anna Kate DeFoor, Brayden Watkins, Chance Miller, Jesse Bowen, Asher Stewart, Anna Whitaker, Nathan Witcher, Alex Wall, Jay DeFoor, Matthew Whitaker, Colt Miller and Caeden Allen.

Their next race in the series will be at Heritage Park in Watkinsville, Ga. on October 23-24.
