Boil Water Advisory 9-17-14(Cleveland)  9/23/2014 – The White County Water Authority has issued a Boil Water Notice for Water Authority Customers  in the are of Highway 254 at the intersection of Campground Road, which includes  Skitts Mountain Road and Skitts Mountain Cove Subdivision.

Water Authority Director Edwin Nix said,  the boil water notice affects about 50 customers and  has been issued due to a water  line break which is causing water pressure  to drop to dangerously low levels.  Nix said, “ when this occurs a potential health hazard may exist in these areas of zero pressure from backflow and or back-siphonage of water of unknown quality into the water distribution system.”

Boil water to use for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food.  You can use bottled water for drinking.  This boil water notice will remain in effect until the water system has been restored to full operation and that  microbiological quality test show it is safe for human consumption.

This boil water advisory has been lifted.
