(Cleveland)- White County officials have certified the election results from the Tuesday, May 24th Primary election. Akyn Bailey, White County Election Supervisor said the elections board, during a meeting last Friday approved the certification.
Baily also provided information that shows a record number of voters cast ballots in this year’s primary. A total of 7,153 ballots were cast.
Baily said this record-breaking turnout for White County indicates an approximate 78% increase in voter participation compared to the 2018 results. She said, “ I am very proud of the diligent work of our staff and poll workers that made this possible. The growth and engagement of the electorate of White County are improving and we only expect that trend to continue.”
