(Cleveland)- White County Board of Education has been recognized by the Georgia School Board Association.
White County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Laurie Burkett announced during Thursday’s regular board meeting that the board has been awarded the designation of 2021 Quality Board by the Georgia School Board Association (GSBA).
The recognition program is designed to showcase best practices in governance and leadership. In making the award GSBA said, White County Board of Education met and/or exceeded the criteria set forth by the organization to earn the honor.
The GSBA Governance Team Recognition Program was developed by Georgia superintendents and board members based on the state board of education’s standards of effective governance to recognize exemplary leadership.
