(Cleveland)- The annual White Christmas program that helps families in need at Christmas conducted by White County Family Connections is underway.

Mark Griffin, Family Connection Coordinator said,” We registered 185 families representing 402 children for the program this year.”

Individuals and businesses are now being asked to help join this program by adopting a family or proving funding to purchase Christmas items.

Check out the details below:

  • Individuals, organizations, businesses, churches, etc. may adopt one or more families and then shop for the children using the information provided on the family’s application. Adoptions take place at my office located in the White County School System Central Office at 136 Warriors Path, Cleveland. You may come by the office and review the applications and select one or more families to adopt. Instructions for returning the gifts for pick up or delivering them to the families will be available at the time of the adoption. The applications will be available to review generally between the hours of 9AM to 4PM but it is best to call ahead at 706-219-4034 to be sure someone is available when you come by.
  • The other way to participate is by making a cash donation that will be used to shop for families and to supplement gifts as needed. Checks should be made payable to White County Family Connection and White Christmas should be noted on the memo line.

Griffin said Family Connection will also be conducting a Shop with a Cop program for a smaller number of kids and they are accepting cash donations for that program as well.

If you would like to help out with either program contact Mark Griffin at 706-219-4034.
