Church officials say a weekend back to school event was a great success. Saturday Saint Paul United Methodist Church of Lumpkin County gave away School Supplies, Clothes, Food and Free Haircuts to folks in need in Northeast Georgia.
This was their 5th Annual Back to School Blessing, and pastor David Bost said, “ we were able to help 237 Children over 300 people were served in all!” He said, this was the first year we did the event on a Saturday and it worked well!
Saint Paul has served the community on the Hall/ Lumpkin County Line since 1878 but Pastor Bost said, “ we had folks from White, Hall, Lumpkin, Dawson and Forsyth Counties attend.
