The White County Warriors are breaking even after the first two games last night against Senoraville High School, and are looking for a win this afternoon to advance to round two.

The first part of game one had the Warrior fans a little anxious as the Senoraville Phoenix had taken the lead to 7 to 1 by the end of the 3rd inning. But the outlook began to change in the 4th beginning with a bases-loaded RBI single by Kyler Mayo. An infield single and a sacrifice fly would put two more on the board for the Warriors before the inning would end. White County claimed one run in the 6th and would bring four runs home in the 7th.

Drew Harris and Bart Westmoreland called the action:

The Warriors take the win for game one with a final score of 9 to 7.

The excitement would continue into game two of the double-header as the Warriors had the lead 3 to 1 at the end of the 4th inning. But the roles were reversed as it was Senoraville who would rally back in the 5th, putting up 4 runs. One more run each in the 7th would give the Phoenix the win in game two, 6 to 4.

The deciding game three of the set will be held this afternoon with the pregame at 3:45 pm and the first pitch at 4. The winner of that game will go up against the Franklin County Lions in round two of the GHSA State Playoffs.
