Sports – It seems as the Warriors are determined to lock down their spot in the play-offs, as for their final home game of the regular season, they claimed a huge victory over the Lumpkin County Indians last night, 49 to 13.

White County Quarterback J Ben Haynes may have made his return to the field last night for the Warriors, but the night, or at least the first quarter, belonged to Silas Mulligan. White County was able to put 35 points on the board last night in the first quarter alone, and it was Mulligan who was responsible for 4 of those 5 touchdowns.

In the second quarter, the Warriors had enough of a buffer in points to allow for some player changes and allow for some other players to get some well-deserved playtime, and White County would put another 14 points on the board, ending the first half 49 to 0.

With the large score difference, both coaches agreed on a running clock through the entire second half, and it seemed as if White County’s entire bench got some time on the field. With the pressure off maintaining the lead, the Indians were able to take all the points in the second half, scoring 2 touchdowns of their own, and ending the game with White County still having a comfortable lead and a final score of 49 to 13, Warriors.

Your Captain D’s players of the game for the evening were Jimmy King and Reece Dockery.
