Sports – The Warriors were victorious last night in high school varsity baseball when they defeated Dawson County at home in region play.

Even though the game was tied at the end of the first inning, the Warriors changed that by the end of the second to a seven-point lead. J Ben Haynes would knock one out in the third, further increasing their lead.

With the assistance of Evan Chambers, two more runs would score in the fifth, and with the 10-run rule calling for the opposing team to concede the victory to the opponent, the Warriors won with a score of White County 12, Dawson County 2.

White County increases their rank to 4-0 in region play and will play the second of three games in Dawsonville on Wednesday. Drew Harris and Bart Westmoreland will call the action here on WRWH on Friday at home with the first pitch at 5:55.
