Walter “Jr” Augustus Hardin Jr., age 60, of Dahlonega GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, following a brief illness. Preceded in death by his parents Walter Augustus Hardin Sr., and Christiane Crane Hardin; brother Ricky Hardin and sister Patsy Abercrombie.
He is survived by his partner Teresa Brooksher; son, Eric Hardin; daughter, Kristen (Adam) Stinson; grandchildren Riley Hardin, Austin Hardin, Andrew Hardin, Emmett Stinson, brothers; Teddy Hardin, Shane Hardin, sister; Rita Day, stepmother; Pasty Hardin and his former wife Denna Kelly, and numerous other relatives.
Jr started his career as a truck driver, he would later become the owner of Hardin wrecker and towing along with a repair shop for more than 30 years. Jr was a man of many interests he enjoyed riding his Harley, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his children and grandchildren that he loved dearly. Jr was known as a man who was always willing to help someone in need. Jr touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Dahlonega Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., and Saturday 30, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Mill Creek Baptist Church at 3:30 P.M. with the reverends Rodney Pilcher, Lyman Caldwell, and Sandy Reese officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
