Barry Vandiver receives Midge Cathy award from Sharon Brown
Special Olympic athletes at 2014 Christmas Dinner
(Cleveland)- A great turnout Friday night for this years Special Olympics Christmas Dinner held at the White County Intermediate School. According to Sharon Brown, Chairperson for the event Barry Vandiver, of Cleveland was presented with the Midge Cathy Award for his outstanding help provided to the athletes. Entertainment was provided by Marc Bigbie and friends.
St. Paul Catholic Church Knights of Columbus volunteered by serving the athletes and their parents and having Santa there. They also presented the Special Olympic Committee with a check for $250.00 that will be used to help in future events.
Brown said it was exciting to have such a wonderful turn out of athletes and families to enjoy the evening.
