(Cleveland)- A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM this morning. The National Weather Service says parts of North Georgia, generally north of a line from Chatsworth to Jasper to Cleveland and also for Dade and Walker counties ( in Northwest Ga.) mainly along the Lookout Mountain Ridge.
Light snow and black ice is expected. Forecasters say accumulations up to 1 inch in the higher elevations above 2,000 feet. Cleveland’s elevation is 1575 feet. The impact will be roads becoming slick, especially bridges and overpasses.
Winds will continue to be strong from the Northwest from 15 to 25 MPH, with higher gusts. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20’s in the higher elevations.
