(Cleveland)- State and local fire investigators along with an Investigator with the White County Sheriff’s Department are still trying to determine what caused an explosion at a home in White County Friday morning.  The explosion was on Rhododendron Lane off Glenns Drive.

Witnesses said  the explosion could be felt and heard for miles. At least four other homes in the Mount Yonah Scenic Estates neighborhood were damaged as a result of the explosion that was reported around 10:45 AM. White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said the gas company delivered gas at the residence on Tuesday and they believe there was a slow leak.

White County Sheriff Neal Walden said, “The foundation is there, and the rest of it is just strewn up through the woods and into the trees. ”

Murphy said they are still trying to determine if there was anyone in the home at the time of the explosion.
