(CLEVELAND) – For the first time in Truett McConnell University women’s lacrosse program history, a Lady Bear has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference offensive player of the week; Hope Foster, announced the league Monday.
Foster led her team to a dominating AAC win at Asbury College (19-6) on Tuesday with six goals. The sophomore recorded a total of 11 shots, nine on goal, and earned four ground balls, while also winning nine draw controls. In addition, Foster only had one turnover and caused two. Foster leads her team with 16 goals, seven assists and 40 total shots on the season.
On the national level, Foster ranks third in shots per game (10.0), fifth in shots on goal per game (7.5), 12th in points per game (5.75) and 15th in total shots (39).
