(Cleveland)- According to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report education rankings, Truett McConnell University (TMU) ranks as #47 in Best Regional Colleges in the South and #46 in Top Performers of Social Mobility for Regional Colleges in the South.
Best Regional Colleges
The new ranking, which considerably increased from 2020’s listing, compares bachelor’s degree-granting institutions from across the U.S. on 15 diverse measures of academic quality. Indicators include graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, social mobility, student excellence, financial resources, and other data.
Top Performer of Social Mobility
Economically disadvantaged students are less likely than others to finish college. However, some colleges are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students through the assistance of financial aid through federal grants.
According to U.S. News Ratings for Social Mobility, rankings are based on how well schools graduated students who received these federal grants.
“Crucial to a conservative Christian worldview is the capacity to provide students with both the most biblical education and the ability to fulfill God’s call through a career path with upward mobility,” said Dr. Emir Caner, President of TMU.
“To be nationally recognized as one of the top schools in the country in this regard is demonstration of the tireless efforts of our faculty and staff,” added Caner.
